40 Day Prayer Journey Day 1

As we have been anticipating this journey, our Gwinnett Church staff has been so excited to see how God would move through these days and beyond.  We are going to highlight and share what we are learning throughout the 40 days here on the blog.

Our first step in our preparation was inspired by one of our social media all-stars, @chefjennyjo. She shared with us her vision of having a huge chalk circle around the property.  We weren’t able to do the whole property, but we were able to draw a circle around the building. Here are some behind the scene shots of our very own Adrian Varner drawing and photographing the circle.

Here are some insights our staff gleaned from Day 1:

“You never know where or when God will invade the routine of you life, but you can live in holy anticipation, knowing that God is orchestrating supernatural synchronicities.”

What an exciting and awesome reminder – when I spend my days focusing on my day’s plans or routine, I lack the holy anticipation it takes to respond to the divine appointments in my life. –Hannah Kersh

Day 1 of @gwinnettchurch 40 Day Prayer Journey. “Don’t answer your own prayers” Sounds easy yet I foolishly try to “help” God all the time. –Meghan Wages

“I was reminded today that God is honored by my big prayers. I can ask big things because he is capable of immeasurably more.”Kristen Court

“The plans of God are only revealed in the presence of God.”-Matt Adkins
